Nationwide Tour of Seccos across the country

The National Assembly Select Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, in collaboration with the National Food Security Processing and Marketing Company (NFSPMC), has commenced a nationwide inspection tour of cooperative societies (seccos) across the country and depots.

The strategic visit is aimed at assessing the current state of groundnut trading aggregation centers and evaluating their effectiveness in supporting national food security objectives. During the tour, the Committee engaged directly with stakeholders, farmers, and local cooperatives to identify challenges and opportunities within the groundnut value chain.
